• Point Bond Polyester media has an even fiber pattern where as a Spunbond Polyester has light and dark patches where the fibers are heavier in some parts than others. The even pattern allows water to flow through with no obstructions. Dirt loads evenly on the filter using more of the actual square footage of the filter rather than caking up heavily on some parts and not others.

• A Point Bond Polyester is much easier to clean that a Spunbond Polyester. It is very strong due to its unique dot design. Spunbond Polyester will eventually get fuzzy and trap the dirt particles so you cannot get the filter clean. Water does not have to work as hard to find the path through the media and the core. Punched PVC has fewer open holes which can make it harder for water to get through. Our core combines strength with open surface area so dirt cakes up evenly on the filter, water pushes through evenly and gently, reducing pressure and saving energy.
